Responsibilities

(Long –Term contract)

The incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Foundation’s scientific researches and conservation programmes in order to fulfill the Foundation’s commitment to biodiversity conservation in Asian region. In particular, he/she will help to manage the annual funding application cycle, funded marine related projects for the Foundation and take part in stranding response actions and perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements

- Graduate in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or related disciplines, with knowledge of marine ecology and local wildlife

• With at least 2 years of related working experience in conservation or related field
• Outgoing, self-confident and detail oriented
• Able to work both independently and also be a good team player
• Computer literacy in MS office, proficient in typing Chinese
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
• Willing to work outdoor, and during weekends and public holidays

Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Scientific Officer
