Manufacturer Sales Rep

Western U.S. – Prefer Bay Area or Seattle
The Market Sales Director has responsibility and accountability for maintaining strategic relationships within the assigned region over various sales verticals, including but not limited to; Corporate, Higher Education, Government, and Healthcare. This position will collaborate with Independent Rep Groups (IRGs) to enable the creation and tracking of sales opportunities through our dealer network, end-user base, and A&D firms, as well as generating direct sales through personal efforts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and collaborate with Independent Rep Group (IRG) to develop a sales pipeline and execute tactical initiatives in marketplace
- Drive sales by developing relationships with key large local and regional customers; i.e, Designers (A&D), dealers, GCs and Glaziers, across all vertical markets
- Travel regularly to regional market to work with IRGs and interface with customers
- Maintain keen regional market awareness and voice of customer
- Expert interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and cultivate strong relationships
- Present new and existing products to IRGs and customer base
- Maintain IRG and sales activity through CRM
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development or sales related activities; experience in the commercial furniture or similar industry strongly preferred
- Experience leading and managing Independent Rep Groups (IRGs) with the ability to gain and ensure mindshare with them
- Experience calling on a wide range of markets, such as Corporate, Education, Government and/or Healthcare, facilities, preferably for premium product offerings; ability to establish relationships in vertical related business
- Proven track record in business development with demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work autonomously, under management direction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation ability
- Ability to create regular sales reports to present to executive management
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint required, experience
working with a CRM system required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
